Wyevale Garden Centres are making Easter special for kids this year with a chance to enjoy breakfast or tea with the Easter Bunny. Last weekend, we popped along to our nearest centre to try out the experience, which runs until the 28th of April (selected stores only).
We were greeted on arrival by Alice in Wonderland who gave the children colouring sheets and crayons, a chocolate treat to decorate and a soft toy, all of which kept them entertained whilst we waited for breakfast. We used the online booking form to choose which breakfast we would like so it was all very straightforward on the day and the food arrived quickly.
We asked specially for Sonny to just have toast as he is the most fussy eater and wouldn’t have eaten any of the hot breakfast at all. I did think we might have to remind them of his order but they actually checked with us to confirm it was correct.
After breakfast, the Easter Bunny himself arrived to escort us on an egg hunt around the grounds of the garden centre. The children had to search for buckets of chocolate eggs and were allowed to collect one from each station. They really enjoyed the hunt and indeed the whole morning.
We spent some time after the event choosing herbs and indoor plants and browsing the shopping ranges on offer in the centre. We don’t often visit garden centres so it was a bit of a novelty and the children were actually really surprised at all the different things that were on offer – I think they were just expecting lots of flowers!
Breakfast or tea with the Easter Bunny costs £10.95 per child and from £5 per adult. The event runs at selected Wyevale Garden Centres until April 28th. We were provided with complimentary tickets in exchange for an honest review.
